After leaving Coláiste Phobal Roscrea, I left Tipperary for Kildare to attend Maynooth University, where I studied English and Media. I moved to Dublin after finishing my studies, where I have been living since, but still love getting back to the Midlands as often as possible.
As a life-long learner I have continued to pursue education throughout my professional life. In 2013, I returned to academia to train as a Psychotherapist.
I have built on this through Adult Education Training to better support my clients through development of training programs.
To continue to develop my skill set working with clients to achieve their goals, I am also trained as a Business and Executive Coach.
I am currently a Doctoral Candidate in Psychotherapy with Dublin City University, where I am dedicated to deepening my understanding and expertise in the multifaceted field of psychotherapy.
My research interests primarily focus on resilience in clinical practice, exploring how individuals can navigate life’s challenges and develop psychological strength. I am particularly intrigued by the various therapeutic approaches that foster resilience, as well as the role of the therapeutic relationship in enhancing personal growth. Through my studies and research, I aim to contribute to the evolving narrative on resilience and psychotherapy practices, with the ultimate goal of promoting mental wellbeing.
